Multiple Tooth Replacement
When replacing three teeth in the back of the mouth, a fixed bridge anchored to dental implants is the one of several fixed solutions. Traditional dentures cannot offer the same stability and function. Using dental implants to replace your lost back teeth will preserve your jawbone and facial appearance while giving you the stability to eat whatever you want.
Course of Treatment
The course of treatment described here is one of several options available. We will work with you to determine the course that is just right for you.
- Before the procedure
We will do a thorough examination and take one or more x-rays to evaluate what treatment solution will be right for you. We will extract any necessary teeth.
- Installing the implants
First, the implant posts will be surgically placed. Then, a temporary bridge will be placed to allow you to function as normal. The implants will need a few months to integrate into the jawbone before the final restoration.
- Attaching the bridge
The final step is the placement of your custom, permanent bridge. Once placed, the process is complete!
You can expect your dental implant and bridge to look and function just like normal teeth. You should continue to maintain good dental hygiene to keep the tooth and surrounding gums clean and healthy.
