Daniel G. Klauer, DDS

Dr. Klauer is a welcome addition to Dr. Mahoney’s team as he has strong ties to the South Bend community. Growing up in Granger, Indiana, Dr. Klauer graduated from Mishawaka Marian High School. He chose to continue his education at the University of Notre Dame where Dr. Klauer earned a Bachelor of Science degree. Dr. Klauer served as a proud member of the Varsity Golf Team, earning a Monogram letter and helped Notre Dame win multiple Big East Championships.

Dr. Mahoney and Dr. Klauer’s professional relationship was established in 2005 when Dr. Klauer began interning with the practice. Their mutual appreciation for the dental profession and passion for treating patients was quickly determined and a successful partnership was formed. Upon graduating from Notre Dame, Dr. Klauer chose to complete his four years of training at The Ohio State University, earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS). Dr. Mahoney continued to mentor Dr. Klauer throughout his rigorous tenure at Ohio State, developing the relationship they began in 2000 when Dr. Klauer first sat as his dental patient.
Dr. Klauer has also made a concerted effort to commit himself to service and outreach for the underserved. In 2007, he traveled to Honduras and, most recently, ventured to Haiti in April 2010 to provide dental care to those living among the devastation of the January 2010 earthquake.
Like Dr. Mahoney, when Dr. Klauer isn't in the office you can find him at The Sr. Maura Brannick Health Clinic on Friday mornings volunteering. He also recently began teaching at IUSB's Dental Hygiene Program where he is a clinical professor.
Upon meeting Dr. Klauer, you will be immediately comforted by his welcoming smile, compassion for his patients and his commitment to maintaining proficiency in the dental profession. If you have any questions or would like to contact Dr. Klauer, please call our office at (574) 272-0466 or email him at daniel.klauer@gmail.com.
