On Saturday September 10th, 2011 Mahoney Family Dentistry hosted its 1st Annual Dentistry From The Heart, Free Dental Day. We strongly believe about giving back to the community we live in and love. Our goal was to give away as much free dental care as possible. We performed exams, cleanings, fillings, and extractions for the underseved people of our community. Drs. Mahoney, Klauer, and Lehman were the dentists providing care along with their staff and over 60 volunteers.
This year we were able to treat over 210 patients and donate over $96,000 of dental care!
Next years event will be on September 15, 2012

Free Dental Care Available in South Bend
Mahoney Family Dentistry will bring free dental care services to South Bend area residents through Dentistry From The Heart on Saturday, September 10.
South Bend, IN. – September 2011 – Mahoney Family Dentistry, lead by Drs Mahoney and Klauer will provide free dental care services to at least 150 people 18 years of age and older at their upcoming Dentistry From The Heart (DFTH) event of Saturday, September 10. This year, Mahoney Family Dentistry and their team of employees, volunteers and sponsors will provide patients with their choice of one free extraction, filling or cleaning. This first annual event, registration will begin at 6:30 a.m. and patients will be seen on at first come, first served basis.
The media is invited to join the many volunteers, patients and Drs Mahoney and Klauer on Saturday, September 10 to spread free smiles across South Bend through Dentistry From The Heart located at Mahoney Family Dentistry, 17901 Turners Dr. South Bend, IN 46635. In 2001, Dentistry From The Heart started with New Port Richey dentist Dr. Vincent Monticciolo as a way to giving back to the community and provide aid to the growing number of Americans without dental insurance. Since its inception, Dentistry From The Heart has grown to include over 200 annual events nationwide and provided more than 50,000 people with free dental care services.
